The African Action Congress has mentioned the occasion that the Governor of Edo State will not cooperate in the election to protest against the boycott of the candidate for the election opportunity.
Independent Nationwide Electoral Fei had blocked the identity of the candidate of the occasion, Edith Isokapan, from contesting within the election.
The AAC’s main election, which was peaceful and orderly, was witnessed by INEC officials.
However, while issuing a checklist of events recognized for contesting the election, INEC removed the AAC from the log with solid rationale.
President of Edo State Chapter, Comrade J.C. In a press release by Hafiz Lawal, the party mentioned that while the election of the electoral body was difficult in court, the party members would not vote within the election.
The statement said that ‘in opposition to the illegal boycott of INEC and it is the identity of the candidate from the vote, the Edo State Chapter of the African Motion Congress has unitedly resolved to boycott the election by sitting at home.’
‘Being enshrined in the structure of Nigeria, every Nigerian of every tribe, faith, race, color, mating, and required age group, is eligible to compete/compete for alternate positions in Nigeria.
However, this is not the case of the African Action Congress and Hon. After the party’s presidency, when Edith Iskopan of INEC refused the opportunity from the Edo election. A scenario that has been challenged within the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
‘We imagine that we are going to get justice in the court on the illegal boycott of the party/candidate, even when there is utter despair within the justice system in Nigeria.
‘Our calls are easy, return the AAC and its candidate in the election, pay the party a loss for losing the team members to the opposition parties.’
