The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 143 new COVID-19 cases in 17 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The plateau topped the list of states with new cases for the seventh consecutive day with 35th positive samples, adopted by Kaduna with 21 and Lagos with 19.
However, according to the Presidential Process Force (PTF) on COVID-19, plateau figures are due to “aggressive pattern collection”.
“The evidence is that there are no additional confirmed cases being reported from the state of Plateau and we have now instructed you that the plateaus are determined to be very aggressive, which would normally have collected multiple samples in all their original authority areas Are, ”Elsie Ilori, Deputy Director NCDC, mentioned it in a media briefing on Monday.
“Since they are recorded extra confirmed cases, ultimately, we will report them because of the epicentre right now.”
Meanwhile, Nigeria hit a significant low in its day by setting a day of recovery with 125 victims on Monday.
NCDC confirmed brand new recoveries in lieu of August 31, 2020.
