Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has targeted England coach Gareth Southgate over Harry Maguire’s remedy.
In the defeat of Denmark’s Maguire, who has worked hard for a few months on the pitch, they were given their marching orders for 2 Yellow Playing Cards within 31 minutes on Wednesday night.
Keane says that Southgate may prove to be a softer aspect as a devastated Maguire leads him down the tunnel.
Keane informs ITV: “I think generally that he [Gareth] knows about Harry having had a very difficult time on the pitch, again a Pat would have helped him.
‘He might have settled him with Gareth.’
Keane additionally mentioned that a return to under-performing United after two defeats in their first three Premier League games would not aid both, like Maguire.
Keane said. in a statement, ‘One aspect for Maguire is that he is going again to a workforce that is not full of confidence,’.
‘I have been in situations before when I was in a position to work with such a good character. I felt the dressing room is the perfect option on this planet. He can’t go into that 4 again’.
‘Wherever I am not close to these lads – I do not see them as leaders.’
