After few months of rumors, reports and assumptions, the Huawei manufacturing company has officially verified that the company will be launching its very much expected Huawei Mate 40 series flagship smartphones. The launch of the flagship smartphone series will be through an online-only event that will take place on the 22nd of October. And lovers of Huawei are looking forward to the smartphone which is hailed as a “Leap Further Ahead” by the company.

But then, before the launching date, there have been some information about the phone’s models, the color selections, and the build material of the RS Porsche Edition that has been leaked online. You might want to know what to expect from the company this time around.

Colours to be expected of the Huawei Mate 40

Based on the leaked information, the Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro smartphones will come in five distinct color options. This includes Bright Black, Cosmic Silver, Pearl White, a new Green hue, the manufacturing company will also be offering a Yellow color for the first time.

Build Material of the RS Porshe Edition

The leaked information also made it known that the RS Porsche Edition will possess a ceramic back panel.

Huawei Mate 40 model

Asides Huawei Mate 40 and Mate 40 pro, there will also be Huawei Mate 40 Pro Plus variant as well. However, the color options for this top-end model are not yet revealed.

Chipset powering the smartphone series

In the poster released by Huawei company which announced the new flagship phone’s launch date, the company lauded the forthcoming smartphone series as “Leap Further Ahead”. This adds to speculations as it is believed that the company might be giving a clue about the chipset powering the devices — Huawei Kirin 9000 SoC, which is built on 5nm process. This could also be the company’s latest flagship chipset for the main time, due to the US sanctions.

Display

Leaked information imply that the phone could exhibit an identical display design that was seen in the Huawei P40 Pro series and accordingly it could be furnished with a curved OLED display with a pill-shaped cutout for a selfie camera as well as TOF 3D sensor for the face unlock.

User’s interface
The devices will be operating the latest EMUI 11 custom user interface, this is most plausible to be based on the Android 11 operating system. Nevertheless, reports imply that the standard Mate 40 may ship with EMUI 10.1 rather than with the most recent version.
